If you’ve never worked with a virtual assistant before, you’ve probably got a question or two. With this in mind, I’ve put together an FAQ page covering the things I’m asked most often. How much does a virtual assistant charge?
Do you only charge by the hour?
No. In fact, I prefer to provide a customised quote for each client, so I can bundle tasks together to give a single costing either as a monthly package-rate or for one-off jobs, a total project-rate. Should you need more assistance, there’s always the option to add more time or extras at a nominal rate.
What are your payment terms?
For hourly contracts, there is a minimum commitment of one hour a month. This is payable on receipt of the invoice at the end of the period, irrespective of whether or not you use the time.
I also offer the option to buy hours in advance at a discounted rate of £20 per hour (a saving of 20 per cent!).
Can I add extra hours?
If you have paid for hours in advance, a monthly package or one-off project you can add additional hours to cover extra work that falls outside the original scope. This is charged at my standard rate of £25 per hour.
However, the availability of extra hours is schedule permitting and, therefore, can’t be guaranteed.
Is your hourly rate negotiable?
My pay-per-hour rate is £25 (the industry standard for the UK).
I offer a discount for hours booked in advance which I charge at £20 per hour.
